Ferrets are obligate carnivores. That means their primary protein source must be meat, but their digestive systems are relatively inefficient at absorbing the vegetable proteins commonly found in cat and dog foods. That's because ferrets have a very short intestinal tract, which also means that they can't eat very much at a time, and therefore need a concentrated diet.
Ferret Complete was formulated especially for ferrets and is high in meat protein (36%) and fat (19%). It also contains ground whole linseed to give your ferrets a soft, shiny coat.
